Bacán (adj.) - cool, sweet, “sounds good”.

If you have ever talked to a Chileno, then you’ve no doubt heard this word many a time. It can be heard as a finality of an agreement, for example “Let’s meet tomorrow at 10″ “Bacán”. Or more commonly, it is used like “cool” or “sweet”. For example, “We’re going to Santiago Pub Crawl tonight!” “Bacán!”

The word is used around South America. In Argentina it is used to describe somebody of high society.
